The Light Beyond The Darkness

Let's just say that, throughout my journey throughout the first quarter of the school year, learning ICT is like a roller coaster ride. It's not always good, but definitely not entirely bad. I have learned many things. I discovered a new potential hobby. It also made me realize that I kind of have a talent for words if only I would continue honing it.       Among all the things that I've learned through this subject, my most favorite one is when ICT taught me how to make my own blog. Despite the fact that it sort of stressed me whenever I can't figure out the right words to include in my blog, it also made me realized how fun brainstorming is at times.       It's like the light beyond the darkness. Blogging is a way for me to let my thoughts out. Expressing your thoughts and opinions on a platform where anyone could see it, kinda gives you that feeling of accomplishment, especially if people also agree to it. Neve...

What Did We Do? What Could We Do?

Have you ever experienced having your parents tell you something like, “It used to be cold and breezy back then during our time, now it’s so hot even at night,” or anything about the climate back then? Well, I surely did. When I was young, I’ve been hearing my parents complain about the weather, which made me wonder, WHY DID EARTH’S CLIMATE BECOME SO HOT? Fortunately, as I grew older and learned more things at school, I learned about climate change and global warming.       So, what exactly are these two? According to NASA, climate change is a long-term change in the average weather patterns that have come to define Earth’s local, regional, and global climates. These changes have a broad range of observed effects that are synonymous with the term. While global warming is the long-term heating of Earth’s climate system observed since the pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900) due to human activities, primarily fossil fuel...

We Must Be Ready!

Weeks ago, the topic of the resilience of the Philippines has been brought up. Our country and its citizens indeed are resilient, but was it enough? Is it enough to just stay like how we are and not leave a room to learn? Obviously, not. The more resilient we are, the better our country will be. Who doesn’t want a good country? NO ONE. One way to help as a normal citizen is to obediently abide by the law and other programs that are implemented by our government.      Days ago, the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill was held. Many participated despite being just in their perspective houses, which is a good way to familiarize themselves with the structure of our houses and where should we hide if ever an earthquake strikes. It is important to be part of it since we’ve been doing it since we were kids and it also helps us remember the important things that we must do during calamities. This program is not only implemented for the sake of presentation....

It Can't Stop Me, Can't Stop Us

Due to the Corona Virus outbreak, the world changed. The government announced quarantine and ordered people to stay at their homes to prevent the virus from spreading. It caused schools to shut down and made face-to-face classes an impossibility. Parents, teachers, and even the students themselves became worried about the education of the students. The education system around the world also began to change, aiming to give quality education to students despite the pandemic.        Back then, face-to-face classes is a normal practice. However, with the quarantine being implemented, it became impossible. The safety of the students is the priority, so they conducted classes this school year differently.       Home-schooling and online classes were introduced to the public and were considered to be the solution to the problem. It has advantages because students can have more time for their families and the...
