It Can't Stop Me, Can't Stop Us
Due to the Corona Virus outbreak, the world changed. The government announced quarantine and ordered people to stay at their homes to prevent the virus from spreading. It caused schools to shut down and made face-to-face classes an impossibility. Parents, teachers, and even the students themselves became worried about the education of the students. The education system around the world also began to change, aiming to give quality education to students despite the pandemic.
Back then, face-to-face classes is a normal practice. However, with the quarantine being implemented, it became impossible. The safety of the students is the priority, so they conducted classes this school year differently.
Home-schooling and online classes were introduced to the public and were considered to be the solution to the problem. It has advantages because students can have more time for their families and themselves. They can have more freedom to access information from the internet. However, this doesn't mean that all it caused is good for everyone. Some students don't have access to stable connections. Some were financially unable to acquire necessities for online classes. Some students need assistance while learning things, for it is hard for them to understand the lessons without proper explanation from the teacher. Some find it hard to focus, thus the inability to finish their work. Some find it too stressful, to the point where they can't take it anymore and may result in them having suicidal thoughts. But just like what they say, there's a solution for everything. We cannot do anything but accept the fact that this is the new normal. We just need to get in touch with our teachers, so we can consult them about our worries regarding our academics. Parents need to do their part and give enough moral support to their children. Parents can ask for help from the government regarding financial issues. Stable connections can be acquired through mobile data or maybe resort to the usage of books as references.
Home-schooling and online classes are good ways to give quality education to students despite the pandemic, but it still needs to be improved. We must not let unfortunate events stop us from learning. Let us stay positive that things will get better. It may not be today, but someday, it will. Let us work together to give this and future generations, the quality education they deserve.
