From Me To You; Make It Work, We Will Do

COVID-19 pandemic indeed caused many problems to humanity. Canceled events here and there, prohibition of having physical contact, inability to travel, etc. Last month, the month of love, was very different from how it used to be. If before, couples can freely roam around during Valentine’s Day, now they must do it with restrictions and health protocols must be always observed.

(They are my parents. This picture was taken when they were having a video call. I apologize for the low quality by the way LOL)

Some were in a long-distance relationship and were pretty used to being away from one another.  One example is my parents. Currently, due to my father's work, he has to go to Isabela and my mom has to stay with me here in Ilocos. They call each other every day and my mother sends father some goods that can’t be found in Isabela. They have been living like this since September 2020 and I can say that I’m proud of my parents for handling it well despite the distance. This should be a lesson to others for this is one of the ways to find out how strong your relationship with someone is. Through advanced technology, this has become easier.

“To that certain someone, I hope that through the things I do for you, my love will reach you despite the distance. Let us stay strong, we will make it work.”
