We Are Alive
Humans have been known to be superior among all living things on earth, for we have the ability to think in a more advanced way than anything else. This could be considered as the ultimate power that we hold. But great power comes with great responsibility. We, humans, are named to be the stewards of all God-given. We are tasked to take care of them, manage them. Everything must be protected
Ecosystems are geographical areas where living and non-living things coexist, both interact with each other to thrive. Our ecosystem plays a very significant role in the way we are living. Through different regions and various geographical settings of our planet, the ecosystems that exist are diverse, each with its own unique characteristics. Despite the diversity, each organism plays a significant role. Ecosystems can exist in the forest desert, and even underwater.
Now, as so-called “stewards”, what are we doing? We have done countless things to our environment that resulted in bad things. Deforestation, illegal logging, illegal mining, dynamite fishing were just a few of the many. Disrupting the continuous relationship among all organisms, causing great dilemma that results in habitat destruction, species being endangered, loss of biodiversity, extinction, and even climate change. With these being destroyed, we suffer huge consequences as we humans are directly responsible for the abnormalities in our ecosystem and life overall.
It is our duty to help, preserve, protect and defend our ecosystems. It is full of diverse life that coexists with each other, having mutual relationships that we all define as the circle of life. Humans benefit from that as they are also part of life, we are there to ensure that life goes on. Together we can create a stronger bond that will make us more connected towards all life in order to help them grow so that we can have a brighter and meaningful feature ahead of us.
